Select text before tapping a style to format just that part; with nothing selected, actions apply to the whole post. Styles swap in Unicode lookalike characters (the same technique tools like Typegrow use for LinkedIn, since X has no native rich text). Those characters count as 2 toward the 280-character limit and can read oddly in some screen readers, so use them sparingly.

What this tool does

X strips rich text, so you can't just press Ctrl+B to get bold in a post. This formatter works around that by substituting styled Unicode characters that look bold, italic, underlined, or struck through, and by reshaping your text for the way people scan a feed: short lines, one idea per line, and a clean call-to-action.

How to use it

Type or paste your draft into the box.
To style part of it, select that text first, then tap a style button. With nothing selected, the action applies to the whole post.
Tap "Fix spacing" and "Break lines" to tidy the layout, then copy.

Does styled text hurt reach or accessibility?

Styled Unicode is real text, so it posts fine, but screen readers may announce it character by character or skip it, and it counts double toward the limit. Use it for the occasional emphasis rather than whole paragraphs.
